Imagine skiing in Europe’s last true wilderness. Here in the heart of the Balkans awaits a cat skiing adventure that combines desolate mountains, deep powder and the feeling of being far away from it all. Kosovo is raw, authentic and still completely unknown to most skiers, making it the perfect destination for those looking for something out of the ordinary.
In a remote mountain valley, five hours drive from the airport in Pristina, we find an isolated lodge. From here the adventure begins: every day we take the cat up into the mountains, where kilometer-long runs through forest, alpine bowls and open mountainsides await. It’s a trip where nature and skiing take center stage – and where the feeling of being “alone in the mountains” is total.
Danish Eastern Snow guides are on board for the entire trip, along with experienced local mountain guides to give you peace of mind and the best skiing the area has to offer.

Accommodation
We stay at a remote lodge in the middle of the mountains. It’s simple but cozy, with full catering, heating, sauna and space to relax after a long day of skiing. It’s not luxury in the classic sense – but you get peace, authentic atmosphere and closeness to nature that you rarely find in Europe.

The tour is for experienced skiers and snowboarders who are used to off-piste and deep snow. You don’t need to have touring experience, but you should be able to handle varied terrain and be in good physical shape.
The Catskies give us access to plenty of terrain with no ascents, but some short hikes may occur. The focus is on getting as much skiing as possible – and enjoying the mountains in their raw and untouched form.

ABOUT THE TRIP
Transportation
The most direct route to Catskiing in Kosovo is via Pristina airport, which is in Kosovo.
Otherwise, it’s also possible to fly to North Macedonia or Albania and find a transfer from there.

Flights from Europe to Kosovo
Flights from Copenhagen to Pristina (PRN)
From Pristina Airport, it’s approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes’ drive to Junik.
You can also fly to Skopje Airport, which is about a 3-hour transfer to Junik.
In addition, it is also possible to fly to Tirana Airport with a transfer of approximately 4 hours.

Safety & Guides
Safety is always in focus on our tours. Our local mountain guides are certified and have extensive experience in the area. They know the snow conditions and choose the best and safest routes every day. All participants must bring avalanche safety equipment, including beeper, shovel and probe.
Passport and visa
It is very important that the information in your passport matches what is on your ticket. No visa is required to enter the country.
Extra info
If you're from Europe and the Nordics, they use the same 220v plugs in Kazakhstan, so there's no need for an adapter.
